GWMWater Managing Director Mark Williams said the Goroke Sewerage Scheme would enhance the liveability of the town, benefiting both public health and the environment.

Mr Williams said customer connections were now available and thanked the community for their patience during construction.

“Prior to the expected completion of the Goroke Wastewater Treatment Plant in March 2022, GWMWater has arranged for wastewater to be carted to our Horsham wastewater treatment facility,” he said.

“As a result, customers within Stage 1 can now arrange connection to the new sewerage system. We have posted some information to customers which outlines the steps involved with connection for customers and their nominated plumber.”

Next week’s drop-in sessions are aimed at supporting customers with the connection process, assist with applications for subsidies and answer questions about the service.

GWMWater staff will be available at the Goroke Library as follows:

  • Monday 22 November – 2 pm to 5 pm
  • Tuesday 23 November – 9 am to 12 noon
  • Wednesday 24 November – 4 pm to 7 pm

If customers are unable to attend the sessions but have questions about the new service, they can call our Customer Service Centre during business hours on 1300 659 961.
