Low levels of a non-toxic algae have been detected in the Harrow water storage and an alternative supply is being arranged to the town system while the storage is treated.

These maintenance works form part of our commitment to provide the best service standards to our customers.

To ensure that a water supply can be maintained to customers, we are seeking your cooperation and ask that you minimise water use outside the home where possible. No interruption to supply is anticipated.

The water in Harrow remains safe to bath and shower in and to wash clothes in but should not be used for drinking or food preparation.

GWMWater apologises for any inconvenience that the current situation may cause and wishes to assure customers that we are working as quickly as possible to resolve the problem.
