The latest seasonal allocations for January 2022 have been announced by the Storage Manager.

As a result of very dry conditions and high evaporation losses, no inflow was recorded to reservoirs during December, and there has been no increase to the volume available for allocation this month.

The volume allocated to the System Reserve volume remains at 12,400 megalitres. Bulk entitlement rules require a total of 15,000 megalitres to be allocated to the System Reserve once Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements reach 57% allocation. Allocations for Wimmera-Mallee Pipeline Product entitlements remain at 57% this month, and the Glenelg River Compensation Flow entitlement remains at 1% allocation. No allocation has been possible to Recreation, Wetlands or Commonwealth Environmental entitlements.
