Please complete form if you are:

  • a tenant moving into or vacating a property

  • an owner/agent registering a tenant moving into or vacating a property

Please note:

GWMWater cannot set up tenants on shared water meters. GWMWater defines a ‘shared meter’ as multiple occupiable properties sharing the one water meter. This is a requirement of the Water Act 1989.

Commercial Property

Please complete this form if you are an owner/agent/tenant of a commercial property where:

  • future accounts are to be issued to the occupier of the property

  • the occupier is vacating the property and accounts are to be issued to the owner

GWMWater has the right to check the meter reading provided and adjust accordingly if incorrect.

Acknowledgement

I understand and acknowledge that:

  • the information provided in this application is correct and has been completed to the best of my knowledge.

  • I have notified the tenant that their personal information has been given to GWMWater for billing purposes.

  • I have notified the new tenant that if they are a holder of an eligible concession card, they need to contact GWMWater to register details.

  • at least two (2) working days notice must be given prior to occupying/vacating a property for a meter reading to be taken.

  • I have informed the tenant that it is their responsibility to notify GWMWater when vacating the property.

  • GWMWater may refuse this application if it becomes evident that any information or supporting documents provided are incomplete or false.

Acknowledgement

I understand and acknowledge that:

  • The information provided in this application is correct and has been completed to the best of my knowledge.

  • I have made the owner aware that future accounts will be billed to the tenant and if the tenant defaults, charges remain the responsibility of the owner under section 274 of the Water Act 1989. Unpaid amounts may be forwarded to GWMWater’s collection agents as per normal procedure. This may incur collection and legal costs to me without notice.

  • GWMWater may refuse this application if it becomes evident that any information or supporting documents provided are incomplete or false.

  • all charges incurred prior to the tenants occupation have been paid in full.

  • at least two (2) working days notice must be given prior to vacating a property for a meter reading to be taken.

  • GWMWater may refuse this application if it becomes evident that any information or supporting documents provided are incomplete or false.

  • A final meter reading will not be completed on my behalf. Charges currently outstanding will be transferred back to the owner of the property.

  • The responsibility of finalising water accounts will be arranged between the owner and the outgoing tenant. Any outstanding charges remain the responsibility of the property owner under section 274 of the Water Act 1989. Unpaid amounts may be forwarded to GWMWater’s collection agents as per normal procedure. This may incur collection and legal costs to me without notice.

  • GWMWater may refuse this application if it becomes evident that any information or supporting documents provided are incomplete or false.
