GWMWater, working with the West Wimmera Shire Council, is investing in Goroke to provide a sewerage system. The Goroke Sewerage Scheme will provide residents with a reliable, and effective wastewater collection and treatment system. The sewerage scheme will use current septic tanks on properties and deliver a reliable and effective wastewater collection and treatment system which will contribute to the prosperity and future growth of the town.
A reliable drinking water supply is essential for preserving the liveability of communities in our region. The completion of this project will guarantee that residents in Elmhurst have access to water that consistently meets high standards of clarity and quality

What stage is the reliability and pipeline augmentation project currently at, and when is it expected to be completed?
The project is currently in construction, with the treatment plant commissioning scheduled for late 2026. We expect the supply to be switched on to Goroke residents in early 2027. Thanks for your question.
Will there be any disruption to my existing supply during the cutover, and how will residents be notified in advance?
Residents will receive letters at least two weeks before any planned interruption, and we'll post updates on this page as the work progresses.
