GWMWater

A new road safety rule has come into effect across Victoria

All drivers must slow down to 40 km/h when passing stationary or slow-moving vehicles (under 10 km/h) that have flashing lights or sirens.

This includes:

• GWMWater vehicles with flashing lights

• Emergency vehicles

• Tow trucks

• Road maintenance vehicles

This applies to all roads (urban, rural, highways and freeways) in both directions, unless separated by a median strip.

Following this road rule will help to maintain a safe workplace for our staff and those working under amber, magenta, blue and red lights - and allow us all to go home safely to our families each day.
