Workshop hub for feedback this October

The workshop, on Friday 9 October, will explore the challenges and opportunities facing our water future, from water security and service reliability to community amenity, infrastructure investment and customer priorities.

Attendees will also hear updates on major initiatives including GWMWater’s Urban and Rural Water Strategy and Infrastructure Augmentation Strategy.

Service reliability, allowances and water security during dry periods will be discussed. The workshop will be an opportunity to discuss what is most important to our community, and where GWMWater should invest and deliver during the next price period.

GWMWater Executive Manager Customer and Employee Experience Adele Rohde said the workshop was an important channel for people to inform decision-making, particularly as planning began for GWMWater’s next price submission.

The 2028-2033 Price Submission sets GWMWater’s services, investments and prices that customers will pay for the five-year period. It is submitted to the Essential Services Commission, Victoria’s independent regulator of water services for consumers.

“Our Customer and Stakeholder Workshops give us the opportunity to share information, listen to feedback and have open conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing our region,” Mrs Rohde said.

“This is a particularly important time for community input, as the feedback we receive will help inform our planning and priorities as we begin work on our next price submission.

“Whether you're a customer, stakeholder or simply interested in equitable water and sewer services in our region, we encourage you to attend. You don’t need to be an expert on water to get something out of these sessions. The workshops are designed to be accessible, informative and provide plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share perspectives and learn more about the projects shaping our water future.”
