GWMWater is proud to support our regional communities through sponsorship of events and activities that make a positive difference — environmentally, economically and socially.

We welcome sponsorship opportunities that align with our values and contribute to strong, connected, and sustainable regions.

To give your application the best chance of success, please apply at least four weeks before your event and review our sponsorship guidelines before submitting your form.

All applications must be for activities or beneficiaries within our operational area and meet the eligibility critieria outlined in our Sponsorship Policy.

Sponsorship Guidelines

Who is eligible for sponsorship?

To assess your application, we consider the following:

  • How the activity aligns with GWMWater’s Vision: ‘Vital services for thriving communities'.

  • How the activity supports GWMWater’s ability to build or strengthen relationships with the community.

  • The target audience, the size of the audience or number of potential beneficiaries.

  • Benefit to the local community through tourism.

  • The value of the sponsorship being requested, and whether the request can be met in full or in part.

  • The measures or key performance indicators to evaluate the activity’s objectives.

  • The amount of notice given prior to the activity commencing and GWMWater’s capacity and resources to deliver the agreed sponsorship in time.

  • Available budget and/or stock.

Additional criteria may apply depending on the type of sponsorship requested. 
Assessment criteria helps to determine the size and value of the sponsorship GWMWater can offer.

Types of activities and event we support

We will support events or activities that:

  • Contribute to achieving our Vision: 'Vital services for thriving communities'

  • Directly or indirectly improve appreciation, awareness or quality of the water cycle and the natural environment,

  • Align to Our Values; or

  • Meet criteria outlined in our Sponsorship Policy.

Types of sponsorship

We offer the following types of sponsorship:

  • Financial sponsorships (one-off cash sponsorship, less than or equal to $1,000)

  • Merchandise (i.e. drink bottles, trigger nozzles, raffle prizes) or in-kind contributions

  • Water trailer and water fountain hire

  • Permanent water fountains

  • Recycled water discounts

How we assess your application

To assess your application, we consider the following:

  • How the activity aligns with GWMWater’s Vision: ‘Vital services for thriving communities'.

  • How the activity supports GWMWater’s ability to build or strengthen relationships with the community.

Expectations of sponsorship

Successful recipients of GWMWater sponsorship are expected to:

  • Provide an opportunity for GWMWater to be promoted as a sponsor.

  • Adhere to any formal or informal agreements, including the terms and conditions as a sponsored event or activity.

  • Complete an evaluation survey following the event.

  • Collect any in-kind merchandise within normal business hours.

*Failure to comply with sponsorship expectations may result in sponsorship being terminated. Applicants will be advised of the sponsorship being withdrawn and will be required to return any received funds or merchandise.
